ABOUT US
ABOUT ADDICTION SOLUTIONS VICTORIA (ASV)
Addiction is a chronic, relapsing brain disease characterised by compulsive drug seeking and use, despite negative, harmful consequences.
NIDA (National Institute of Drug Abuse).
In 2015, the Board of Addiction Solutions Victoria (ASV) established the program to deliver effective treatment for drug and alcohol challenges, support family and friends of people facing substance dependencies and demonstrate that recovery is not only possible but available to those seeking help. We have now opened our services to people in Geelong and South-Western Victoria and want to let them know there is hope.
From the outset, ASV employed professional staff with extensive experience in the field and track records of providing successful results for clients. ASV also sought the best of the international and local evidence-based addiction treatment programs and adopted the Danya Life in Balance program from the USA. This program is endorsed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and listed in the US registry of evidence-based programs and practices (NREPP).
ASV provides a highly researched client and family support and change program, specialist outpatient medical assessment and treatment and high-quality psychology services. This comprehensive program is affordable and available now.
The ASV team is convinced that anyone anywhere can recover from drug and alcohol dependence and build a satisfying life if provided with the proper support. Long-term recovery is possible and available, no matter where you live.
ASV is a federally registered charity and a registered not-for-profit in Victoria. Our Board consists of members of the community, people with lived experience of recovery, including family and friends, and professionals interested in healing.
ASV has membership with the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC), the Institute of Community Directors (AMICDA) and the Mental Health Academy (MHA). We are also registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
‘It is essential that people and their families and friends can get help to address addiction when and where they need it without having to go into serious debt. I am so happy to be involved with ASV—a successful program provided by people who know that recovery is possible and do their best to help everyone who contacts them. We’ve based the program on evidence, research, and hope and have now expanded into Geelong.’

"When I first signed up for the ASV rehab at home drug and alcohol addiction treatment program, I had no idea what I was in for; to say the support process was transformational would be selling the whole program shortly. Not only was I supported to stop using, but I have also identified many of my underlying psychological and emotional issues that caused me so much distress; I am in recovery and moving, one day at a time, towards my best life, thanks to ASV."
